Cessna 172N Circuit Training
October 23, 2009
Carenado Cessna 172N Skyhawk II (payware)
Sounds: Default
Scenery: Flight Zone 01 Rhode Island (payware)
Environment: Active Sky 6.5, Real Environment Pro
Traffic: None
Airport code and time: KSFZ. You guys guess the time!
It’s in the video somewhere.
I must say this is one helluva nice aircraft. It’s definitely worth the money and you get what you pay for. You buy a Cessna, you get a Cessna. Everything’s good about this aircraft: the sounds, the flight model, the flying dynamics, etc.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for some GA VFR fun.

the way we do it at our airport in real life.
takeoff fly runway heading
at 700ft AGL- turn crosswind
at 1000ft AGL- leveal off, power at 2200, turn downwind
when abeam your touchdown point, power 1500 flaps 10, start descending
at 45 degrees of touchdown turn base
on base, flaps 20 pitch for 75KIAS
on final pitch for 70, use pitch for airspeed and power for altitude
when you have the feild made, but before 200AGL, flaps full
at 10ft power out start the flare
we use a 172SP thoue

I’ve never flown …
I’ve never flown before so I won’t talk you into false facts about when to turn and so forth. All I do is take the experience learned from the simulator lesson and put it into effect whenever I fly around an airport.
I would say to turn on the crosswind leg about 30-45 seconds after take off. Then turn on the downwind leg when reaching pattern altitude. Turn on base when the end of the landing runway is at about 45 degrees behind your aircraft. Turn on final and intercept the glide slope.
