Kingman Spyder Show! Tips, and other Spyder Clones
February 23, 2010
This show talks a little about Kingman Spyders, Spyder Clones, some tips and tricks also when using spyders. I’m not a very big fan of Kingman Markers, because of how they sneak in: 1) ASA holes are staggered, they are not industry standard 2) Many of the air fittings are metric, and not found in stores 3) Alot of “propriatery” fittings and non-standard parts are found on Kingman markers Kingman has a long history of whore-ing their products out to Wal-Mart. I have no issue with selling to walmart, but don’t do it AFTER you sell to regular paintball stores, and kill their profit. Don’t sell a paintball store a Spyder for $100, then sell the entire product line to walmart for $40 per Spyder. If you want to whore the whole line to walmart, then only sell to walmart! Enjoy!

Got something to say?

i like the spyder pilot 09, im dyeing toget 1 for my birthday
the pistols suck too. they use 11mm paintballs and it costs 20 bucks for 500 (thats 5 bucks more than a 68 cal bag of premium)
personally i hate kingman except their pistol is the smallest for paintball
agreed
Using the SLG was just an example, and Proto’s a better company, nobody can honestly say “I’d definately go with the 09 Electra over the 09 SLG” I’m using it as an example because its of similar price, another example, the Smart Parts Vibe which with a blackheart board is $180 and still outperforms the Electra, and another one would be the Azodin Blitz, and don’t even fuckin talk about Timmies and Aliases cause they go for around $250-$300 less than $100 more, and are way out of Spyders league.
OMG, “He has his facts right and agrees with someone” yah big deal, so I agree with Mike, I’ve been playing paintball since ’87 probably since longer than you’ve been alive so yah I’m not going to like Spyders because all of the Spyders were non-industry standard wal mart whores, and still are, although they’ve gotten a lot better with industry standards they are still not a company I like because SLG’s are 5x better than the Electra and $20 less, what would you choose?
lets ride his dick a little more?
I’ll admit the newer models are better, but their still not completely industry standard, if I’m going to spend $200 on a paintball gun, I’m going to buy a gun from Proto who has been making guns with eyes for years as opposed to a company who has little industry standard parts, and has barely made any guns with eyes.
HAH, An Angel and a DM, he owns multiple Angels, and multiple DM’s and has been playing since he was in 5th grade in ’86, he owns, SL’s, Ego’s, Bob Longs, Angels, Luxes, and pretty much every super gun you can think of kid.
ya he does.
this guy has a point but he acts like he owns an angel and dm
i know everybody hates on spyders but they havnt seen the newer models i own the xtra 09 and its great
these are the old wons!!! the older wons are crap but the 09 xtra is awesome it has regulation standerds and i put a rocking trigger on a evolution 3 hopper and a 14 inch barrel on it and i can get a good 19 bps out of it
mike please review the NEW spyders. they came out with some new ones like the electra that i think they have hit out of the park from their other models. its got clamping FN, and i think all regular parts now
You dont HAVE to . Thats to save the striker oring. In a pich it wont hurt anything to pull the assembly right thru.
col vid techpb. i bought my spyder from a paintball store
actually the screws on the spyder xtra asa are side by side. But the drop on it is stagerred
Understand that Kingman is Taiwanese and started out using threads that are considered standard in EVERY OTHER COUNTRY, then continued using them because the Spyder took off in such a huge way. Plus, the newer ones are all standardized.
Elbows are not that much of a problem. Took me 10 seconds to find one for sale on AVI including the “stovepipe”. And why the HELL would you put a HALO or Vlocity on a Mech P/F Spyder anyway? Also, ALL the mfgs. sell at discounts to big buyers like AVI.
You can change the feed neck for $24. Its no big deal.
All said proprietary connections on recent Spyder’s are all industry-standards now, save for the barrel thread, which varies in every company.
Google the markers if you doubt me.
a slg is a sear tripper does that mean u have to slide out the internals like he showed at the end?
i want a acuurate gun mostly.
but still some power.
any suggestions for a reasonabile price?
These are only good for beginners, i wish i never got one.
Why so?
spyders are actually pretty accurate but they suck on woodsball
you should have known that
