Parasite drag, Form drag, Skin Friction drag and Induced drag are all discussed – from how they are created, to how they can be minimised. Got something to say?

@ELX222 Consider yourself awed.
Great video Profpilot! I had been struggling with understanding induced lift and your amusing but simple explanation has made it click. However, I, like the fellow below, don’t understand why the vortexes cause downwash not upwash, if you could possible copy/paste the explanation you gave him and message me I would be so highly in awe of your customer service ability.
So long, and thanks for all the fish
Vacuum tubes, optic mounts, and laser diodes! I love the sexy chaotic dynamics!
Due to the oppressively Orwellian nature of YouTube only allowing 500 word comments, and no links, I’ve had to message you instead. I am sure this news fills you with awe at my customer service skills.

(PS. YouTube: please keep the no link policy. I don’t want to receive a deluge of blue underlined words inviting me to “engorge my rod”.)
Thanks for the video, But the video didn’t explain clearly why the wing tip vortexes cause air to flow DOWNward instead of flowing upwards. Since you said the air is leaking upwards, shouldn’t the vortexes cause the air flow to go up?
Thank you very much
this is hilariouse
thnk u vm !!!
nice video..thanks
you are so auwsome
keep it up =DD
