Amazing Puerto Rico MD-80 Cockpit Video Approach & Landing San Juan HD.720p

December 26, 2011


Now uncut. A complete approach and landing at Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan, PR. A windy February day, we’re coming in from east for this 35minutes flight starting from St.Maarten. Beautiful day to Island Hop. Starting with San Juan Centre, then over to approach for some vectors, then tower for the final part of the flight. An instrument guided Visual Landing on Rwy 10, then finally ground control for the taxi in to the gate. Pleasure having you onboard!

    AA was cleared for take off? from RWY 8 they landed RWY 10

    Interesting that American was cleared for takeoff? while you were still on the runway.

    @planedudea380 that sound i believe is just a horn to let you know “heads up! you’re about? to touch down!” I may be wrong but im pretty sure thats what its for

    @simongchadwick im not sure? if it’s typical for older planes, but we have some of the panels showing the wear n tear. these birds we operate do loads of hard work island hopping, and the sun around here is viscous so that is typical. i m sure they can use some more TLC but it’s simply superficial. same as an old car. i love it, it gives the cockpit lots of character. thats my opinion !

    Is the wear-and-tear around the windows (seen at timestamp 19:06) typical? for these older birds? I hope that is just damage to superficial trim.

    Nice video. My only wish is that the camera wasn’t moved around those few times, and the audio noise that went? with it.
