Grumpy Jii-san has too much Freedom
February 12, 2012
Grumpy Jii-san’s been watching cartoons for way too long. Today he revisits the well-worn path across America where a 2007 OVA crashed and burned. The intro was recorded along route 66 outside Flagstaff, and the rest in Arizona’s Romero Canyon in Catalina state park. You can find a transcript of these remarks here: grumpyjiisan.wordpress.com

Got something to say?

The animation looks similar to akiras, or that one anime about the psychic kid in? Antarctica. It also seems allot of animes are using cg for some of the larger shots.
Reminds? me of the cup noodle ad back in Japan :p
yeah? bandai’s just horrible. possibly would have been the most popular game of the year globaly but never released it beyond the asian continent, Mobile ops: the One year war.
Part of the deal for the creation of the Space Shuttle, and receiving the funding for it, was the destruction of the plans for the Saturn V and previous models.
So how exactly Biz found a copy of its blueprint, and in a post-apocalyptic setting no less, I would REALLY like to know, at? that point he knew more about the rocket than NASA scientists today.
Tang?
Does that mean you’re going to do an? Eva review soon?
@GrumpyJiisan? Yeah I know, but in the anime community when someone mentions Tang they are usually talking about Evangelion so…..hint hint?
@law244 Thanks, you? should find my take on Planetes @ vTrUULwDIdE .
@bigred2989? Drink of astronauts!
Good Review and I Agree once the story returns to the moon that’s when it loses me. I think if Moon regularly Suppressed life on Earth with there weapon that would have made a more compelling reason to return. also by any chance have you watched and/or reviewed Planetes?? it presents the most realism in a space anime I’ve seen so far and if you haven’t already I think it would make an excellent review.
Did he say Tang? ………..mother of? god.
